Despite decades of progress in sustainability measurement and disclosure, current indicators, methodologies, and reporting frameworks still fall short in providing a robust foundation for assessing the socio-economic, governance, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development. Persistent blind spots continue to undermine the transformative potential of sustainability reporting and must be urgently addressed to enable more meaningful evaluations. The concept of authentic sustainability underscores the need to develop economic practices that operate within the limits of ecological systems.
